  I finally got around to joining NERAC Earth this year, and got to go pick up my jersey yesterday! I’m so exiced to have a club jersey to wear for events this year, not to mention the great group of people in the club. I’ve riddent with some of them here and there over the years, and I’m really looking forward to riding with them more this year.

  I’ve been looking through the list of events on Zwift, and it turns out a lot of the races have a low enough power category that even someone like me, who’s down in the 1.5-2.2 w/kg range somewhere, might have a shot of hanging with the group. I took my first FTP test in years earlier in the week, and landed around 172W. Not great, but not as far from my peak of 235W. read more

  I picked up a used trainer for cheap over the summer, mostly because my 9 year old is finally on a big enough bike (24”) that he can use one, and he doesn’t do much to stay active over the winter.   Decided I wanted some type of comment system on here, but I never got around to trying any. I got my Commento invite this week, so I decided to give them a shot. For now, I’m just using their hosted version, which was stupidly easy to get setup. If I like it, I’ll probably end up switching to self hosted. Unless it ends up being a royal pain to setup.

  Sounds like, at least in our little corner of CT, voter turnout was through the roof. I ran into our First Selectwoman on the way out from voting around 2:00 today. She said our town was already up over 42% turnout. If I remember right, our turnout on presidential years usually maxes out around the high 50s, and much lower for mid terms and local.   Am I really the only one who hated the 3D Touch app switcher? I almost never used it, and more or less exclusively double pressed home to get to the switcher. But yet, the most common complaint I’ve seen about iOS 11 is the fact that it’s gone.
